COOKIE POLICY

Who we are

This Cookie Policy explains how Revelwood Ltd (“Revelwood”, “we”, “our”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.revelwood.org.uk (“the Website”). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

If you have any questions, e-mail privacy@revelwood.org.uk

Types of cookies we use

We use four kinds of cookies, each serving a different purpose:

Strictly-necessary cookies keep the site running. They remember things like your session ID and whether you’ve already answered the cookie banner, letting pages load securely and navigation work as expected. Typical names are CookieConsent or PHPSESSID. They disappear when you close your browser or, at most, after a year—and because the site would break without them, we set these without asking for extra permission.

Analytics and performance cookies help us understand how visitors use the site, which pages get the most attention and where errors occur, so we can make everything faster and more useful. We only look at aggregated statistics. Examples include _ga, _gid and _gat from Google Analytics 4, and they live anywhere from a single minute to just over a year. We ask for your consent before dropping them.

Functionality cookies remember the choices you make—your preferred language, region or other settings—so you don’t have to repeat them every time you visit. You might see names such as i18n_redirected or wp-wpml_current_language. Depending on what they store, they last from a day to twelve months, and we only set them with your agreement.

Advertising and targeting cookies ensure that the adverts you see on platforms like Facebook or LinkedIn are relevant and let us measure whether a campaign is working. Typical identifiers are _fbp (Meta) or li_fat_id(LinkedIn Insight Tag). They stay on your device for about 90 days and are loaded only if you opt in.

Because we occasionally switch providers or update our tools, cookie names can change. The “Cookie Details” section of the banner always contains the up-to-date list.

Your choices
  1. Consent banner – When you first land on the Website, a banner asks you to Accept all, Reject all, or Customisenon-essential cookies.

  2. Cookie settings link – Found in the footer of every page; click any time to adjust or withdraw your consent.

  3. Browser controls – Most browsers let you delete or block cookies altogether. See the Help section of your browser

Rejecting non-essential cookies will not affect core site functionality, but certain features (e.g. embedded videos, personalised content) may stop working.

Third-party cookies

We use trusted partners who may place cookies on your device:

  • Google Analytics 4 — website usage statistics (Google LLC, USA).

  • Meta Pixel — measure and optimise Facebook/Instagram ads (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd).

  • LinkedIn Insight Tag — career-network ad analytics (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company).

These providers have their own privacy notices. Data may be transferred outside the UK/EEA under approved safeguards (e.g. EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses).

Similar technologies

Pixel gifs, local storage and server-side tags may be used alongside cookies for the same purposes described above. They are governed by this policy and the choices you make in the consent banner.
